Thrifty Thursday!

Last night a huge wind storm hit, I am pretty used to the wind since I just moved from the mouth of a canyon (with huge windmills!)  My online shopping has been at an all time high since I have been checking slickdeals.org like 5 times a day!  I am about done with Christmas shopping but I still cannot resist finding a good deal!  Here are a few I have found...

Thrifty Tuesdays!

Anthro's sale had some cute things but I am hesitant to pull the trigger on anything, I have my eye on this skirt but have not decided yet.  Lately I have found some really cute things at some really great prices and I wanted to share, hence the name thrifty Tuesdays!

I ordered this cardi, that color just screams fall to me!


Target does it again with these cute shoes!  I seriously love them, they look a lot like these shoes I am drooling over!

OOTD- Off to school in *style*!

My daughter is starting 2nd grade in a new school today, we all got up early and the kids all got dressed in new school clothes (even though only one of them is starting today!)  They were so excited I could barely get through scriptures study this morning (actually one of them took off during it to get *dressed*.)  There is something so magical about starting school each year I remember just LOVING it!  Here is the dress I wore to church yesterday...

Those little feet just make me happy!!  They all got Toms for school shoes this year (actually everyone got a pair and they are soooo comfy!)

Today I ran a 10K it was a nice run at 6:30 am because it was cool and cloudy!  I started feeling a little queasy at about mile 5 but just kept pushing though thinking maybe it was caused by eating some energy beans.  After finishing it really hit and I pushed through again and took the kids to the parade and got some 'fair food' I LOVE fair food (it's usually sooooo) yummy!!!  Went home and later that afternoon it finally *really hit* I hate the barf flu!! At this point my stomach is empty and I am feeling a little better.  I am so glad my body was able to hold off until the end of the race!!  Here is what I wore to church yesterday...

This outfit is actually from Wednesday night when we had a 'GNO' and went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (mmmmmm sweet potato) then to the hospital to visit our dear friend who just had a baby!  It was so nice to get out and eat a dinner uninterrupted!  I don't know if this counts as my *cheat* item but I did get one thing from the sale the Pezza dress my hubby actually paid for it since he was in Chicago and wanted to get me something.  He just told me to order it so I did... in both colorways because I am not sure which one I will like better!  Here is what I wore for our GNO...

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!  If you are in the market for a new mouse pad I picked up this little cutie because for that price I totally *needed* it:)!

OOTD- I am not a Sailor, but I might be a home owner soon!

Yesterday we signed the papers and our new house is being built!!!  If everything goes through as it should *fingers crossed* we should be moving this summer sometime.  I think I am a little nervous to get my hopes up because we have had so many things go wrong in the past.  I am so excited but kinda sad because I seriously live in the best neighborhood in the entire state of Utah, and will deeply miss so many amazing friends I have made here (we are only moving 15 minutes away so it's not that bad.)  My mom taught me to 'bloom where you are planted' so I have high hopes that I will feel the same way about where I live in a year.  Yesterday to sign the papers I dressed as a sailor...

Here is a picture of our house *almost* we changed the outside a bit by making it two different shades of grey, adding more stone and making it a 3 car garage.  We also are building on a hill and have an amazing view of the valley, which gives us a walk-out basement.  I am so excited and will show you pictures of the progress as it happens!  

It will have 5 finished bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, ahhhh room to put all my crap!  I cannot wait to join the club and finally become a homeowner!!

I truly feel blessed to have a hardworking husband who is making this all possible, and a sister who is such an amazing home decorator *and when I can afford it will help me make it look so cute!*

I had a wonderful holiday and my hubby was really good to me (as usual!)  I got this dress a few weeks ago and was holding onto it until Mother's Day- the weather cooperated and I was able to wear it.  I joined Kim in her shopping ban- tonight might be a little tough for me, but I will stay strong (crossing my fingers there is no sale tomorrow!)  Here is what I wore to church yesterday...

This dress arrived in an obnoxious yellow bag yesterday and I tore it open and immediately tried it on.  It was love at first try and I am planning on wearing it on Mother's Day for our family dinner.  Can you believe I got this tank, mini-cardi and dress for less than 30 bucks?  I know F21 is all the blogger buzz but, I cannot believe how great the things F21 is coming out with lately, and how much I have jumped right on the bandwagon (and proud of it Fo-Sho!)

*For sizing info- I got a medium in the dress (I think a large would have fit great too), large in the cardi and tank (I usually am a solid medium at Anthro for reference) so I recommend sizing up if unsure.

Did I mention Spring is here?  Finally we are getting some beautiful weather and with it- stitches!?  My daughter was running around in the yard on Monday and cut her foot she ended up with stitches to close it up- should I tell you this is her second set in a week (last time it was her head?!)  Yeah, it's been a little crazy here lately!  Yesterday was quite a sale... I did pull the trigger on Ardennes skirt because it hit second cuts.  Here is what I am wearing today...
