OOTD- Wisteria dress and Kate Middleton

Nearing the end of my pregnancy only 3 weeks and 5 days left but who's counting?!  July 10th is the big day for my c-section unless I go into labor earlier (my husband keeps saying I will since I have never made it to the date of any of my other scheduled c-sections.)  We will see!  I have to admit I have been shopping a lot lately why, I don't know!  I can't fit into ANYTHING except sweats and yeah that's pretty much it!  Ok it's not like I have gone crazy it's just funny to me that I keep buying all of these things I can't even wear and they are sitting in my closet still in the bags...  I think I am ready for this baby to come!  I wore this dress on Mother's day it's the last picture I plan on posting of myself until after the baby.
Cardigan Anthropologie: Blooming Lattice
Dress Anthropologie: Wisteria dress
Shoes Anthropologie: Micro-floral Mary Janes
Please excuse my cankles!

Ok so I am somewhat obsessed with Kate Middleton (who isn't?)  She is beautiful and classy and I adore almost everything she wears!  I kept seeing her wear some nude heels and finally googled them and now I WANT THEM!!  See for yourself...
I found them online at Nordy's and honestly the price is not too bad (if you consider she is royalty!)  They are always sold out of the Nude but apparently you can get on a waiting list for them.  They are so classic I am really wanting to pull the trigger on these darling shoes (find them in black here!)

Highlights of the things I have gotten lately:
Shopping instead of popping!
* I have actually worn the shoes and I LOVE both pairs!

Mother's Day is on it's way!

Since I ONLY (read sarcasm) have 2 1/2 months left of this pregnancy I am dreaming of the day I can once again wear my regular clothes (meaning 9 months after the baby is born and I can fit back into them!)  I have found quite a wishlist and with Mother's day right around the corner here is a list of ideas (hint hint!)

I fell in love with these the first day them came out!!

I am picturing myself in this dress and this cardi I already picked up!

One thing about shoes is they always fit....  even when you are 9 months pregnant!
I know full well all of these things won't happen ($$and with my girls weekend getaway next weekend$$) but a girl can hope right!?

Don't forget my diaper bag that is not negotiable!

Shellac Attack (a guide to DIY Shellac nails!)

I got all the fancy stuff to do my own shellac nails at home and wanted to share my latest obsession!  First off it is a bit $ to start out but if you get your nails done a lot or get really sick of nail polish chipping off (like I do) this product is totally your solution!
This is the first time I did my nails this picture is taken at 3 1/2 weeks!!!  See how shiny those guys are?  Yeah, they look like that all the time and NO CHIPPING!!!  The color I am wearing here is Tiger Blossom.

So here are the deets on how to DIY shellac nails!
First off nails MUST be clean

Then you apply the base coat...

Put your nails under the UV light for 2 minutes
I chose this UV light because..
1.  It had the best ratings for the price
2.  You can do BOTH hands or feet at the same time!

Next you apply a coat of color (my next color choice is)
Gossip Girl!

Repeat the UV light for 2 minutes
Re-apply color (so you have 2 coats)
Repeat the UV light for 2 minutes

Finish with the top coat
Cure under the UV light for 3 minutes!

Rub each nail (because they will be tacky) with rubbing alcohol to remove the tackiness and VOILA'!
DIY Shellac!!!!  I am wearing
*A few thing*
You must use a top coat and bottom coat that are made for either gelish or shellac nails (I just prefer the CND because it had better reviews)

You CANNOT use regular nail polish it must either be Shellac (made by CND) or Gelish brand.  You can use both under the light and get the same effect.  I will say I like the color assortment that Gelish has better than CND.  You could get a glitter polish do one light coat over your color and add a little *sparkle* to your nails!

Toe nails last MUCH longer!!!  Mine lasted about 6 weeks till they were growing out so much I had to take it off!  To remove the polish you may want to get removal pads or you could just peel it off like I did!

*IF YOUR NAILS FALL OFF OR END UP TOTALLY JACKED, PLEASE DO NOT BLAME ME!  I AM NO PROFESSIONAL AND AM ONLY STATING MY EXPERIENCE AND LOVE FOR DIY SHELLAC!*

Which Cake is better?

While up in SLC I found this and decided against it, you see I got the boxy backpack with my last child and HATED it!  I thought it was a tad too big but mainly the dang velcro drove me crazy and then it did the unthinkable.... it snagged my tights at church and I was DONE with it!  So I have decided  not to repeat the same mistake and try and find something else when I happened upon the Cake by Petunia collection.  My biggest problem now is which color to get!  I am leaning toward the green by preference but wonder if the purplish one is more 'girly' let me know what you think!

OOTD- Vappu I still love you!

I am beginning to look like I swallowed a basketball and the little girl in there is VERY active!  I just ordered a few things from F21 for my 'Easter dress' since I did not want to splurge too much on my ever expanding waistline!  The sale at Anthro drew me in and I even paid for shipping because I really wanted this little number (think after the baby is born!)  Here is a picture of what I wore out (during one of the freak snow storms Utah is famous for every Spring!)

Anthropologie Retro Rose Cardigan: I just got this cute one for cheap!

I just purchased all the stuff for a DIY Shellac nails manicure I am on my second set of color and LOVE it!!  I will do a post next week with all the deets!  My toe nails are going on week 4 and have not chipped yet!!!

BAWL-FEST 2012

A few weeks ago I was approached about reading a book written by Stephanie Nielsen of the Nie Nie Dialogues.  I was excited because I was already planning on reading it!

Reading the book awakened within me a huge sense of love and empathy for someone I don't personally know.  I literally cried through the whole thing and kept imagining myself in that situation and how I would deal with it.  It's a book about hope as well as her relationship with her darling husband 'Mr Nielsen' and their 4 beautiful children.  She describes deeply personal near death experiences, and shares with her readers how her relationship with Jesus Christ strengthened her and got her through difficult times.  I received the book and had finished it within 24 hours because it was such a good book.  After reading it I had a desire to be a better mother and to view my own personal beauty as something that is truly found on the inside.  Read it you will feel so blessed for all you have and feel encouraged to become a better person!!

Pre-order it here (it comes out April 3) and let me know if you read it what you think!!!

OOTD- This should be PINK!!!

We found out baby #4 is a GIRL!!!  I am so excited to have another little girl but my poor son was really hoping for a boy.  Don't even mention having another one...  I have been busy shopping for the little princess and immediately ordered these blankets and this little outfit.  Shopping for little girls is so FUN!!  Here is an outfit from last week  I really should have paired it with a pink cardigan to celebrate!!

HUNGER GAMES comes out on Friday I am so excited (I actually rented a theatre for a pre-screening on Thursday night!  I also almost got an ulcer selling all the tickets but it all came together)  and now I can't wait!!!!!

Review

A month ago misikko.com contacted me about reviewing a flat iron, of course I was happy to get a free flat iron!  I really like the Hanna Salon flat iron!  I thought it was honestly a little overpriced (since my other one was a Chi knockoff for 50 bucks.)  But it slid down my hair easier and the heat settings went up quite a bit higher than my other one!  Plus with such cute packaging who would not want this flat iron?  Here are some picture of the product.
Here is how it came...

I would say if you are in the market for a high-end flat iron this would be a great buy!
