How to use my new favorite thing...

I am so in love with these little guys, after seeing the commercial I kept looking and looking and finally about a month ago... ta-da they were at Target!!!  Here is what to do on day 2 or 3 of not washing your hair...
Exhibit A: day 2 and we have super limp hair...

Grab a rubber band and these little guys!

Comb that bad boy back into a low side ponytail

Divide into two sections and twist

Wrap around elastic and start twisting...
Tuck in ends as you twist and...

Voila'
You are done!  Accessorize with a flower if you want!
Easy-peasy bun, worth every penny!

  1. Holy spiral bobby pin, Batman! Are those things hard to get in and out?

  2. It's good to see they work. I've seen them on TV and wondered but I have yet to see them in stores around here. Might have to buy some when they do show up.

  3. Those look great, but my hair is too thick and doesn't take well to any kind of barettes, clips, and I can only use one kind of elastic in order to pull my hair back. The rest are too flimsy and just break on me.

  5. Wow, your limp hair is still three times fuller than mine right after blow drying!

  6. These work great for a french twist, too. I wish they made a bigger version for people with thick or extra long hair. They do hold really well, though. I used to use these as a teenager, and I didn't know they'd brought them back.

  8. How funny. I just got back from the drugstore where I bought these and immediately threw my hair into a bun in the car. They work so well! When I saw the title of your post in my Google Reader, I thought, "I wonder if her new favorite thing is MY new favorite thing!" Lo and behold, it was! Love the way you've done your bun (like my rhyme?) I will have to try that next!

  9. That is awesome! I've never seen them before. I'm going to have to get some now to try that. By the way I linked to your blog on mine. I hope that's ok? I copied your Lagoon outfit. I really liked it. Thanks!

  11. I love my Spin Pins too. I never have tried dividing my hair into two sections for my bun...duh. It looks so much neater.

My hair is really thick and heavy and these work really well!

  12. Okay, so my Target was sold out of the spin pins, but I found them tonight at CVS and whooohooo - awesome! I can't believe how quick and easy, and this will be the perfect way to throw my hair up for the pool. PLUS, I have to confess I bought the "Volume Boost Comb" too (don't judge, lol) I promise I don't look like Snooki. I'm so glad you pointed these out!
