Get some burlap (I got mine at Walmart *shudder* for 2.98 a yard)
Cut out a template I just cut until it looked right.
I cut out 7 flags for each banner
Make a template for your design I drew a shamrock and then exactoed it out
Get your glue gun out, and some (jute) twine
(I got the twine at Loews a few years ago for like 4 bucks)
Glue pennants to twine (this is the no sew version!)
Get your paint supplies out, I used two different green's and a glittery green
(I already owned these)
Put your template on the burlap and 'stamp' it on.
Yes there is a baby foot in the corner of the picture
*unruly children*
Let dry for 15 minutes and Voila'...
Cute and cheap!
From start to finish it took me less than an hour and I made two!
Totally my kind of craft!
Great idea and it turned out really well. Love all your St. Patty decor.

ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I am not Irish, but am a St. Patty's day baby, so I've always loved St. Patrick's day. My daughter is 1/4 Irish though, so more reason to celebrate!
