First off Anthro is colorblind I have decided, they listed these
boots as black and they are not black! I would say they are a greyish/greenish/silver I am really happy with the color although it is not what I thought it would be. I *think* I will keep them although I am really wondering if I should return them and get
these instead?
Remember when I told you life was CRAZY... yesterday my youngest daughter the one year old fell off of a chair and bit all the way through her lip!!! Two visits to the doctor, one sedation and two stitches later she is good as new! I decided to reward myself by making
my 4th a batch of
this caramel it is soooooo good, easy and HIGHLY addictive!! But since it's my aunts (my cousin is one of the girls who writes the blog) I figure it's all in the name of family support!
I really love those little ruffles on the back and really am falling in love with these boots, but wonder if they are worth the $$? What do you think?
Oh Tricia, I'm so sorry about your daughter's fall. I fell on a metal bed frame when I was young and knocked out my front tooth while driving it through my lower lip. Still have a tiny scar from it. My other front tooth got knocked out from a rock flying out from under a lawnmower... how odd. Just sayin'... been there and even though I hardly remember either incident I can imagine it is terribly traumatic for the Momma!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, just love these boots. I agree they sure don't look black, but the ruffle and flat look are just great!!!
Hi- I'm a new follower :) I love the boots! I have the Bowtied Beauties and recently ordered the Loose Reins for a different color choice! I know Kim (Anthroholic) LOVES her Target boots- but, these are darling! OUCH! Poor thing! Hope she's feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteOkay, those are darling!!! I love them. Definitely not black but from the pics I love the color!
ReplyDeleteI really like the pebbled leather in these. I think the Anthro boots are totally worth it. For me, I'd rather have quality leather and well made boots that cost a little more, but will last for years and years.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. I hope she heals up quick and in no time!
So sorry about your daughter!
ReplyDeleteIF you think you will wear these boots for years and years then they are worth the money. BUT if you will tire of these boots after one season, and know you would like to get a new pair of boots next season, then they are probably not worth the money. Either way, you always look fabulous.

SO sorry about your daughter...hope she's feeling much better today!! SO those boots are really gorgeous...and totally grey, not black. TOo funny! I say if you think you'll wear them a lot, keep them. I have the grey/taupe pair from Target and love them to death, so if you think you won't wear them enough, Target is a good second option.
ReplyDeleteThe ruffle is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAwww...so sorry about your little one..Id keep the boots..they are awesome..love the ruffle detail:)

Oh no! I hope your daughter's lip will heal up quickly, poor little love, that sounds so painful!
ReplyDeleteI love the ruffle detail on those boots, and the softer color is more appealing to me then black, so I like that too...I'd keep them! If they go on sale and I can still find my size I might need a pair too ;)
Poor little girl - sounds horrible!! Hope she's doing okay and won't be too traumatized.
ReplyDeleteI'd totally keep the boots, they're beautiful and quality! Love them!
So sorry about the boo boo, glad she is on the mend :)
ReplyDeleteI love the boots, I would keep them. I think they are so you and will last for years.
Tricia my son did the same thing when he was little and just learning to walk - fell and hit a chair- little teeth right though the lip! I hope she feels better soon! Ouch.
ReplyDeleteI love these boots. If you will wear them for years to come -worth it. If you want something new every season (like I do) then not. That's why I try to get stuff cheap - I change my mind too much!
Those boots are so cute!!! I also love your bow tied beauties as well!! A definite "keep" items
ReplyDeleteWow those boots are definitely NOT black! I love the actual color though. If you love them, keep them because they are totally unique and awesome, but if what you really wanted were flat black boots, I'd return them and try again!
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter feels better! :(
I'm sorry about your daughter, hope she is better soon! I think the boots are really cute, and if you think you will get a lot of use out of them then keep them. If you think the color will hold you back from wearing them a lot, then I think your perfect black boot hunt should continue :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I'm glad your daughter is alright. Talk about scary!
ReplyDeleteI love the ruffle on the boot, but if you bought them because you wanted a pair of BLACK boots, then they aren't that. BUT, if you can keep them, do so. They are so unique looking and the color is cool. Black boots are pretty easy to come by, something cute like these are not!
I love the back of the boots, but something about the front looks off to me. I would return them and get the Target boots- they are real leather, $50 and I cannot tell you enough how comfortable they are! That's my two cents!
ReplyDeleteHope your daughter is ok!
Keep these, they are so cute with the ruffle! Now I want them but will have to wait for a sale.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them! They're fun and they are a little different with that detail. I think they can spice up any outfit. I'd keep them :)
ReplyDeleteI really do love the frilly details on these boots. They are so unique and unusual -- not easy to find! I'm so sorry your daughter had a rough fall, and I hope she heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteI say keep them so I can live vicariously through you! No they aren't black, but the ruffle totally makes up for that!
