Spring on my mind!

It's beautiful and sunny out today... my spring bulbs are just starting to blossom, and  I can't help but think about transitioning my wardrobe from winter to spring.  Here are a few of the items I intend to buy and wear this spring!

OOTD- cuts ribbon!

Today was a 'big' day for our little family.  My husband (the newest member of the Salem chamber of commerce) had a ribbon cutting ceremony for his new office.  I had a hard time trying to decide what to wear and finally settled on this as my outfit of the day (OOTD)!

Shiny vs Matte?

No I am not talking about LCD's or photo's...
I'm talking about lips!

Bare minerals Buxom is hands down the BEST lip gloss EVER!!! I love this lip plumping gloss! Unlike other lip plumper's it does not burn, it gives you a minty sensation like you are chewing a fresh piece of gum. I have been debating over whether or not I should purchase another lip gloss (to add to the ever growing collection) or if I should follow the new 'trend' of matte lips. I saw after fashion week they kept saying "matte is the new glossy" problem is sometimes those trends don't transpose well into the general population. But, I also don't want to be walking around with people thinking "her lips are sooooo 2009:)!" So now I am stuck... glossy or matte?

Love at first sight!

My bag arrived today and it was love at first sight!  It is beautiful and perfect for carrying all of my stuff from diapers to makeup.  I'm unloading all of my stuff from my Coach bag right now!  Funny story: I told my sister Jessica last week how I ordered this bag and she said "I have been looking at getting that bag for a while now!"  She alredy owns twenty 'quite a few' designer handbags and was thinking of this one next!  I think this is calling your name "buuuuy me Jessica!"

This totally makes me laugh!  These two always are toting around purses and have to bring them whenever we leave the house! (The apple never falls too far from the tree!)

I love spring!

I love spring and when I saw this little number it reminded me of it!  So while shopping at Target yesterday (I was already there getting birthday presents for my son)  I caved in and got it!  I wore it today and felt girly and fresh!  That's all I got for myself anyway... we won't go into details about what I got for the girls because you would be disappointed in me!

Hair scare!

This morning while I was tweezing out 20 or so WHITE HAIRS out of my scalp I asked my hair "hair you know I am only 32 right?  I am not ready to be considered a blue hair yet!" My hair lovingly replied "Honey, you have had grey hair since you were 24 get over it already!"  Now I ask myself, do many women my age have patches and patches of white hair?  If you ask a Mickelsen, then yes.  We all grey early (my Dad went grey in his mid 20's) I have been dying my hair for years trying to mask the apparent signs of aging.  But what used to be a few hairs here and there is now... well depressing!  I think I will blame it on the kids as my Dad did!

ps- It's taking everything in me not to go to Target right now and pick up a few cute floral tank tops, sundresses (for the girls), plates, wallets, and even a BIKE! All from the Liberty of London line they are carrying. That blasted shopping ban I put myself on!
