OOTD- House hunting fun!

The house hunt continues... we are re-looking at three houses trying to narrow it down.  I have knots in my stomach thinking about buying a house.  Our mortgage would be a lot more than what we pay in rent and I like having 'extra' spending money!  I do think we are being modest with the houses we are looking at because I want to still have the $ to go on trips, buy a few new outfits here and there and my hubby wants some 'toys'!  It's hard because the more the house is the more I like it, but I refuse to be house poor!  I am just ready to make a decision, we have been looking for a year!  As you can see we are not real fast movers!  Inspired by Jan I put this outfit together!
Dress Anthro: Two Wheeler shirtdress (check stores)
Belt Anthro: Snakebite
Shoes Seychelles: On sale now Get outta town
Necklace Anthro: similar here

  1. Good luck with re-looking at houses! We did that over and over and over again before we bought. I ADORE this entire ensemble and must own it immediately. You are, hands down, the cutest mom ever. I have some serious competition!

  3. Super duper cute, I'm thinking I have to re-buy the dress when (if???) it ever goes on sale! You are gorgeous in the blue and I love it with the fun pop of yellow in the sandals!

We moved 3 years ago and doubled our mortgage, it's meant less spending money but I have to say I love having a home that I know we'll be happy in for a LONG time, that my kids will have space to grow and make memories in. I hope you find the perfect one!

  8. You look so pretty in the two-wheeler!

Good luck with house hunting. It is a frightening but exciting time, for sure. And currently the interest rates and prices should still be in your favor. My partner and I bought in summer 2008 but where we live, you actually pay less on a mortgage for a single family home than you do to rent a single family home. That said, houses are more expensive than renting in general because of insurance and upkeep so I understand your concerns. I had them too but it turned out to be a great experience thus far. I hope you find things to be similar for you and your family.

  9. House hunting is always so stressful!! We are renting right now because the market was SOOO inflated when we moved here to CA 3 years ago, and now that it's coming down we'd totally buy if we weren't moving in two more years (military and all). When we bought our first house in TX many years ago we had a weekend to find one...talk about stressful!! I can imagine it's much better to take your time so you can be totally sure about it all. And how cute are you in your yellow and blue! Love it! Those shoes are seriously fun!!!

  16. Good luck on the hunt! It is definitely smart not to go for the ridiculously awesome house but then not have the available cash to still enjoy your lives. Take your time!

(And your look ridiculously great in the Two Wheeler dress!)
