Hair Scare!

Since I posted last week about my (cough, cough) fake red hair, I have gotten a few emails asking if I DIY or pay someone.  Well guys, I am a home hair dyer!  It saves $ and I can do it whenever I want!  If you are ever thinking of going red I LOVE this color (and trust me I have tried a few!)  So here is a picture of what I use...

I ALWAYS use gloves!!!  Otherwise your hands will be a reddish/purple (and then everyone will know you did it yourself!  I may or may not have learned that the hard way!)  

I use Loreal Excellence Hi Color: H5 Soft Auburn (find it at Sally Beauty!)

With Oreor Cream developer: Volume 30

Gloves and applicator bottle.  I put it on my roots for 20 minutes and then all over my hair for 15.  It takes 1 and a half tubes of the hair color and I use a two to one ratio of developer. (I use more developer than it says, because my color turns out better.  I also use the volume 30 not 20 because I like the color better that way)  It's easy-peasy and I love the color!

As for the sale I was pretty good!!  Even though I REALLY want this but am going to pass!  I may or may not track down the Frill Force Jacket today!


*If you do dye your hair and it's all jacked please don't blame me, I am not telling you to dye your hair just sharing how I do it!  What works for me may differ for you.  Please read all instructions before dyeing!
